Returns exactly one product: the one the visitor is viewing. It recommends nothing.
Use it when a campaign needs to talk about the current product rather than suggest alternatives — a stock warning, a shipping promise, a price or discount message, a badge pulled from a metafield. Anywhere you want the product's own details available to the campaign template.
Options
None. Current Product takes no configuration beyond the fields every source has.
Entry point
Current Product. There has to be a product in context for there to be anything to return. On a page with no product — a collection page, the home page, the cart — the source returns nothing and the campaign does not render.
Filters
Set | Available |
Primary — static | No |
Secondary — static | No |
Secondary — dynamic | No |
There is nothing to filter — the source returns one specific product or nothing at all. To show a campaign only on some products, use the campaign's own audience and page targeting rather than this source.
Good to know
This is the simplest source in the list and the one people overlook. If a campaign only needs the current product's name, image, price or metafields, this is what it should point at.
It always returns one product, so a layout expecting a row of several will look wrong. Check the widget or template you are pairing it with.
